PLACEMENT ALLOCATION INFORMATION
The Professional Placement Officer will notify students via email when placements are ready to be viewed.   To access your current placement details please click on the “Placements” tab.  Listed under the Placements Tab will be your allocated placements and sites for the placement you will be completing this trimester.

By clicking on the “Details” button, this will give further information on your allocated placement.    


STUDENT’S RESPONSIBILITY
All students will go outside South East Queensland for 3rd and 4th year placements- start planning for this.


IT IS THE STUDENT’S RESPONSIBILITY TO ORGANISE THE FOLLOWING
:
  

  •        Transport to and from placement
  •        Accommodation 
  •        Child Care
  •        Time off from outside work commitments while on placement
  •        Renewal of ALL Mandatory Requirements - this is an ongoing responsibility

Outstanding Mandatories will have to be provided well before placement or your placement will be cancelled. 

ABSENT FROM PLACEMENT: 

Absences due to sickness or other emergency must be reported as soon as possible to (i) the practice educator (according to local procedures) and (ii) the university via either (07) 5552 9594 or occthy.praced@griffith.edu.au

Please ensure you have read the Practice Education Handbook (January 2019) which contains in-depth information regarding all policy and procedures for Placement.
It is crucial that students read and become familiar with this policy.
